Le Dr Tyagi a termin\u00e9 ses \u00e9tudes de m\u00e9decine \u00e0 la facult\u00e9 de m\u00e9decine de l&#039;universit\u00e9 Wayne State et sa formation en r\u00e9sidence \u00e0 l&#039;universit\u00e9 Rutgers aux \u00c9tats-Unis avant de rejoindre Osler en 2020.<\/p>\n<p>La saison du rhume et de la grippe est arriv\u00e9e. Le Dr Tyagi du William Osler Health System partage ses cinq conseils pour pr\u00e9venir la grippe :<\/p>\n<h2>Se faire vacciner<\/h2>\n<p>La meilleure d\u00e9fense contre la grippe est la vaccination. Le vaccin contre la grippe prot\u00e8ge votre corps en cas d\u2019exposition au virus de la grippe. Sant\u00e9 Canada recommande le vaccin contre la grippe \u00e0 toute personne \u00e2g\u00e9e de six mois ou plus. Consultez votre m\u00e9decin de famille ou votre pharmacien pour vous assurer que vous et votre famille \u00eates \u00e0 jour dans vos vaccinations et prot\u00e9g\u00e9s contre le virus. Il existe un risque que vous attrapiez la grippe m\u00eame apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 vaccin\u00e9, m\u00eame si les sympt\u00f4mes devraient \u00eatre consid\u00e9rablement att\u00e9nu\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<h2>Couvrez-vous la bouche et utilisez votre bras<\/h2>\n<p>Lorsque vous \u00e9ternuez ou toussez, couvrez-vous toujours la bouche pour \u00e9viter de propager davantage le virus. \u00c9ternuez ou toussez dans le creux de votre coude, et non dans votre main. Cela r\u00e9duira encore davantage la propagation du virus par contact avec des surfaces que d\u2019autres personnes pourraient \u00e9galement toucher.<\/p>\n<h2>Lavez-vous souvent les mains<\/h2>\n<p>Le virus de la grippe peut survivre sur des surfaces dures comme les poign\u00e9es de porte, les boutons d\u2019ascenseur, les pompes \u00e0 essence et d\u2019autres surfaces fr\u00e9quemment touch\u00e9es pendant 24 \u00e0 48 heures. Pour pr\u00e9venir l\u2019infection, lavez-vous les mains fr\u00e9quemment tout au long de la journ\u00e9e et \u00e9vitez de vous toucher les yeux, le nez ou la bouche avec des mains non lav\u00e9es. Les bonnes habitudes de lavage des mains comprennent l\u2019utilisation d\u2019eau chaude et de savon pendant au moins 20 secondes, le savonnage et le frottement de toutes les parties de vos mains, ainsi que le rin\u00e7age et le s\u00e9chage complets. Lorsque vous n\u2019avez pas d\u2019eau et de savon \u00e0 disposition, utilisez un d\u00e9sinfectant pour les mains contenant au moins 60 % d\u2019alcool.<\/p>\n<h2>Gardez votre environnement propre<\/h2>\n<p>D\u00e9sinfectez les surfaces fr\u00e9quemment touch\u00e9es comme les poign\u00e9es de porte, les interrupteurs et les t\u00e9l\u00e9phones. Cela permet de r\u00e9duire le risque de propagation des germes dans votre maison ou votre espace de travail.<\/p>\n<h2>Restez \u00e0 la maison si vous \u00eates malade<\/h2>\n<p>Si vous \u00eates malade ou si vous pr\u00e9sentez des sympt\u00f4mes d\u2019une maladie respiratoire comme la grippe ou un rhume, restez chez vous. \u00c9vitez toujours tout contact avec les autres lorsque vous ne vous sentez pas bien. Vous contribuerez ainsi \u00e0 r\u00e9duire la propagation de la grippe et donnerez \u00e0 votre corps le temps de r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer.
