The initiative has achieved remarkable success in addressing barriers to screening, including structural access, cultural and religious considerations, and socioeconomic challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Key Achievements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A 12% increase in screening rates in target communities.<\/li>\n<li>A 24% improvement in the most under-screened neighborhood in the province.<\/li>\n<li>A 3% overall population health improvement across the Central West OHT.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cThis achievement highlights the incredible impact of collaboration and shared commitment to improving health equity across our communities,\u201d said Rishika Thakur Malhi, Executive Lead of the Central West Ontario Health Team. \u201cBy working hand-in-hand with WellFort Community Health Services and Rexdale CHC, the Central West OHT has helped to facilitate the collaborative spirit and innovation \u00a0that not only breaks down barriers to cervical cancer screening but also builds trust and ensures culturally responsive care.
